Slow cooker Chili con carne
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain the excess fat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
(Optional) Serve with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and diced avocado, if desired.
